Monovarietal Tortiglione Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Obtained by milling only the Tortiglione variety

The Monovarietal Tortiglione Extra Virgin Olive Oil is an extraordinary oil obtained from the milling of Tortiglione olives, an ancient olive variety found in the Teramo area and partly in Pescara. The name Tortiglione comes from the shape of the olive tree trunk, which is twisted and rightward-turning.

The oil has an intense green color. Its aroma is herbaceous and fruity, while on the palate, it is bitter and spicy due to the high content of phenolic compounds, resulting from the late ripening of the olives. The Tortiglione olive trees cover the enchanting countryside of the Perconti estate in Cellino Attanasio, a territory near the Gran Sasso overlooking the Adriatic Sea, at an average altitude of 400 meters above sea level.

The Perconti Farm produces only 1,000 numbered bottles of this rare and precious oil, the result of the high quality of the olives and the constant dedication of its owners. An oil that, besides being delicious and flavorful, is also naturally a nutraceutical food, as it is rich in polyphenolic and antioxidant compounds. It doesn’t get better than this—definitely worth trying!
